The hotel is easy to locate due to a large flag, once entering the building there's a desk and a coffee/snack machine which made it a nice simply and easy check in. The service was great the lady explained how to get to my room and told me about breakfasts before wishing me a nice stay. The lift is just outside the main door so you can't missed it, there are 5 floors to the hotel, I was on LG2 which was lower ground but due to the odd streets I was actually above the ground in my room which made it a nicer stay. The hotel was clean and easy to get around as well as having some lovely windows with some great views, I couldn't fault it.
My room was a double room with a double bed, bathroom with shower, a desk and kettle, a small hanging area and a large window. The size of the room was really big and impressive for a solo traveler I excepted a small single room but was nicely surprised with how comfy and homely the room was. It was cleaned daily and my bed was always made, I change my towels once during my 4 nights stay and there was no problems. The room had a heater which I used in the evenings when it got colder and it all worked great, I also used the kettle which worked fine and they also refilled my little coffee set daily with milk and teabags.
As I was on the main street I excepted some noise but due to the hotel places guards at the window there was no street noise which impressed me loads. Staying in the hotel for 4 nights was a really enjoyable experience and in off peak times with advance booking it only cost me £140 which is a great price to pay for the service and room I was given. I would not hesitate to book the Waterloo Place Travelodge again in the future.
