The restaurant is welcoming and has the option to do take away if you wish but seating is recommended as you get the full experience of fresh food and great service. They have a great drink selection from wine to beer and of course soft drinks, they also have a bar area if you wanted drinks before/after your meal.
I ordered sushi as well as hot food and was really surprised by both dishes as they were cooked well and the flavors were very fresh and really blended well together. I had the salmon rolls and the salmon was very tasty with a lot of flavor and a nice kick to it, I also had the pepper rolls and the pepper had a nice fresh taste to it while the vegetable really blended well with the rice and seaweed roll.
The rice dish was cooked well and the chicken was cooked nicely with lots of flavors and vegetables that mixed well it was a very moreish dish. All the food was cooked well and had such great fresh flavors it was the perfect restaurant to go it, my meals came to 15 euros for two sushi dishes, a rice dish and a drink which is a great price to pay.
So if you are looking for a sushi/Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam I would highly recommend Otaru!
